This machine is used in the assembly process of Electronic instrument cluster of Automotives. The LCD display panel and related components are assembled manually and the metal cover bracket is placed in position. The machine further performs the task of keeping the assembly intact under specified pressure and twists the 4 tabs of the metal bracket in a specified pattern. The machine is common for 2 different models and the user can select the model to be produced through a selector switch. The machine automatically changes the tooling to suit the selected model. During operation the machine also checks whether the loaded component is the same as the selected model or not.
This machine is used for tightening a nut to the specified torque in the assembly of valves of the shock absorber. The nuts are loaded in a hopper in bulk. The piston valve assembly components are placed in the piston rod and the piston rod is placed in the work holding fixture. The machine clamps the piston rod and picks up a nut and places & tightens to the specified torque. A vibratory feeder feeds the nuts. The nut driver control has the facility to set the required torque, acceleration, etc. The machine can be used for various models with quick-change parts.
Riveting Machine:
This machine is used for riveting the Outer Handle assembly of Automotive Door handle. The machine is common for LH or RH or front or rear door. No setting change is required for the change of the above handle types. Poke Yoke has been provided to check whether all the necessary components are assembled or not, before riveting is performed. The spin riveting technology has been used for riveting.
Special Purpose Machines 
This machine has been designed for dispensing adhesive for automotive Headlamp / Tail lamp. The machine basically is a 5 axis CNC machine, which traces the profile of the contours of automotive headlamp body. The headlamp body and the lens are fixed with hot melt adhesive. This machine performs the task of tracing the profile of the lamp, whereas the melting & pumping of the hot melt adhesive is done by Nordson applicator. In simple
terms the machine performs the task of a robot.
This machine has been designed for sealing / riveting two plastic parts together. The parts sealed are the Plastic body of Automotive Instrument cluster body and the mask rings. The rivet like projections in the mask rings is fused in assembly. The machine is totally controlled by
a PLC and the only the loading & unloading of parts is handled by the operator.
