This conveyor is used for transporting inner tube of front fork assembly of 2 wheelers, between grinding machines in the centralizes grinding line. The components are conveyed using round belts. The conveyor has the provision to adjust the height of the belt level to match with the grinding machine center when there is a change in the diameter of the tube to be ground. The machine also has another adjustment to match with the grinding machine centre to accommodate the grinding wheel wear.
Piston Transfer conveyor :
This conveyor is used for transferring the pistons between machining centers. This conveyor is employed to introduce single piece flow concept and to eliminate the in-process inventory. Safety sensors are provided at the delivery end of the conveyor to stop the conveyor when the piston reaches the delivery end but not picked up by the operator. The conveyor resumes movement once the operator picks up the piston.
